Alex Rose grew up on a small hobby farm in Arlington, Washington, and is now a mom to three cats and her precious little girl. She feels incredibly fortunate to balance being present for her daughter while tattooing part-time at Electric Kitten Tattoo, a fun and vibrant shop.

Tattooing has always been part of Alex’s life—her father has been in the industry since she was a baby. The hum of coil machines and the scent of Green Soap are nostalgic reminders of her childhood, where she spent countless hours drawing in the shop and getting "tattoos" from stencil scraps. Alex’s passion for art has always been strong, and for the past 18 years, she’s focused on acrylic painting, a skill that heavily influences her tattoo work, both in color and black and grey. Her love for color mixing truly shines in her tattoos.

Though she always admired tattoos, it wasn’t until after thirteen years of working in shops that Alex decided to pursue tattooing herself. Through soul-searching and therapy, she found the confidence to follow her artistic passion. Now, she blends her extensive customer service experience with her love for art to create a welcoming and comfortable tattoo experience.
